Open source blog-like Building Block for Blackboard, though apparently only works with MS SQL and needs IE as a browser.

Not sure of prices, but some interesting tools with blog and wiki functionality that are provided as Blackboard Building Blocks as well as OKI compliant components.

Excellent detailed study comparing Moodle and Blackboard from various different perspectives. Moodle comes out on top, but not unequivocally.
